It's a time we all look forward to in the world of viticulture and wine, a real experience, and a chance to see familiar faces alongside new ones, all gathered for a fun day out in the vineyard.

If you're one of the fortunate few, you'll be picking alongside a small group of around 20 people. Our grapes here at Hungerhill include the classic trio, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, which we use to craft both our vintage and classic cuvées, as well as Pinot Noir Précoce, Bacchus, and soon Pinot Blanc.

The excitement comes from picking in the sun, a great atmosphere, good food, and seeing the pay-off of a year's hard work maintaining the health of the vines — all leading up to this moment, the very first step in making our next batch of wine and sparkling. It's something we think is well worth being part of.

What to expect on the day:

9:00 AM — The day begins with a selection of hot drinks and pastries.

9:45 AM – 12 PM — A quick briefing on how to pick grapes, followed by buckets and tools handed out and a walkthrough of what to do.
