A fresh, expressive Bacchus crafted from our Hungerhill Vineyard and clay soils in Essex, offering a refined and modern take on this English favourite.

Unfiltered, unfined and vegan-friendly, it’s made to preserve its natural purity and character.

This white wine starts with a very light reductive nose, followed by grapefruit, citrus, elderflower and stone fruit aromas. The Bacchus is refreshing on the palate and has a long finish.

An easy, versatile white perfect when you want something crisp, vibrant and effortlessly enjoyable.

Our Bacchus is made from hand-picked grapes, harvested in early October 2023, the Bacchus grapes from the clay soils of Essex and Hungerhill Vineyard were gently pressed in our winery. The pale lemon juice was fermented and aged in a third vintage oak barrel from Burgundy, before being bottled in September 2024. The wine is unfiltered, unfined and vegan friendly.

Merstone Bacchus pairs perfectly with a curry, fish and chips or can be enjoyed on its own.

For optimal preservation, store your wine horizontally in a cool, dark place away from heat and temperature fluctuations.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for wine once it has been delivered, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us within 48 hours at hungerhillvineyard@icloud.com if there is any issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Cancellations (Online Orders)

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over. We reserve the right to request proof of age upon delivery.

Delivery Information

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom.

Orders are usually dispatched within 2–3 working days. During busy periods, this may take slightly longer.

Delivery is typically made within 1–3 working days after dispatch.

We use a trusted courier service (APC) to deliver your order.
You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Delivery Requirements

As we sell alcohol, all deliveries must be received by someone aged 18 or over.
Our courier may request proof of age upon delivery.

If no one is available to receive the delivery, the courier may attempt redelivery or leave instructions to rearrange delivery.

Missed Deliveries

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that someone is available to receive the order.

If a delivery is missed and returned to us, we may charge an additional delivery fee to resend the order.
