After a season of summer wine tastings and Wine & Pizza nights, we are now turning our attention to one of the most exciting times of the year: harvest
On Monday 25th August, we held our very first harvest of 2025. It may have been a small one, but it was truly significant, never before have we harvested this early at Hungerhill Vineyard. Even more exciting, it marked the very first harvest of our Pinot Noir Précoce.
A wonderful group of volunteers joined us in the sunshine, filling the day with a joyful and lively atmosphere. Together, we handpicked the Pinot Noir Précoce, carefully weighing and destemming each bunch. These grapes are now beginning their journey into red wine, fermenting with the skins for 15 days before being pressed.
We are deeply grateful to Robert, Debbie, Richard, Marion, Tich and Will for their help, and for making this harvest so special with their smiles and positive spirit.
If you’d like to be part of the harvest at Hungerhill Vineyard, make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter, we’ll be announcing the next date very soon!
